Ever wondered why you weren’t successful when you applied to be Cabin Crew?
Ever wondered “where did I go wrong” after being told you weren’t successful? Sadly most of the airlines will not give you feedback due to the volume applicants, they just don’t have the manpower to help everyone. So all you end up getting is either an email or if you attended an assessment a face to face ‘sorry your going home with no explanation of why.
Where most of our attendees soon become aware of their downfall, you need to ask yourself:
- Were you punctual for the interview?
- Were you dressed appropriately for the interview, including, hair, make-up, nails, etc?
- How well did you prepare your CV?
- Were there any unemployment periods that you could not account for?
- Did you fill out the application sufficiently and answer the whole question(s)?
- Were you motivated and passionate about the interview and did you demonstrate this to the person interviewing you?
- Were you too bold or pushy and exclude others?
- Did you communicate well- including good eye contact?
- Did you ask the wrong kind of questions?
- Were you prepared for this assessment?
- Did you practice answering customer service-oriented or behavioural-based questions before the interview?
- Did you give examples of resilience and being responsible?
- How well prepared were you with your knowledge of the airline?
- Did you show any concern about relocation?
- How important is cultural diversity to you and are you able to give examples of this in the work place?
- How well did you demonstrate that you have all the qualities, skills and competencies that a crew member needs?
- Did you use your mobile phone during the whole assessment day, including coffee and lunch breaks?
- Did you communicate openly with your colleagues?
- DID YOU SMILE?!
