Germanwings is a German low cost airline based at Cologne Bonn Airport with other hubs located at the airports in Stuttgart, Berlin-Schönefeld, Hanover and Dortmund. The airline was founded in 1997 under the name Eurowings and it started operations as Germanwings in 2002. It is owned by German flag carrier Lufthansa. The airline provides both domestic and international flights to various destinations in Europe.

Our Airbus A319 aircraft are not only leaders in terms of space provided, noise control and energy use. The technology in our modern fleet is continuously kept up to date. For regular maintenance work we draw on the extensive skills of our own technical department as well as that of Lufthansa. Even colleagues on the ground receive regular training to master the specific demands of modern aviation.
